Just recently over break the movie of Marley and Me came out. The movie is good but the book is way better. Marley and Me is about a new family with a crazy dag named Marley. John and Jenny are newly weds in Palm Beach. They are both writers for different newspapers. John decides to buy Jenny a puppy for her birthday. The dog that they picked out had a lot more energy than they intended. Marley crashed through screen doors, chewed drywall, destroyed carpet, and much more. The couple decides they should take they’re wild dog to obedience school where it then was kicked out from behavioral issues. As time passes the couple begins a family and stress gets too Jenny with 3 young children and a really bad dog. The book goes through almost every emotion, from the comedy of the dog, to the heart break over a miscarriage. This book will have to laughing out loud one moment then crying the next. Marley and Me was an easy read, it was written in journal form. You don’t necessarily have to be a dog lover to enjoy this book, if you enjoy a romantic comedy that is easy to read you will enjoy Marley and Me.

The books are normally better than the movie. I havn't seen the movie yet, so I think reading this book before hand would be good. It sounds like a great book.
I agree. Books that turn into movies are always so much better than the books. Like Twilight. But either way, I totally enjoyed both. But I never even knew this was a book. I just saw the previews for it on tv and thought it was a nice movie. But I think I might have to check this book out. If books are better than movies, then this seems like a must read.
The book probably has a lot more detail in it than the movie so i am sure that it would be an interesting book to read but its not something i would buy.
I saw this movie and i absolutely loved it! I recently read a book and then saw it at the movie theater and the movie was much better, i think the same would be true to this one. I love how the dog is the main character in this story and all the things he does that bring the family closer together. I feel my dogs do the same thing for my family.
I did not see the movie yet because I want to read this book first. I actually have a yellow lab, like the main character Marley. I am afraid that I will become emotional when I read it, but your review makes it sound like it will be worth reading at the cost of a few tears.
